Love everything about it! The owner, Mac, is lovely. He brought us around his organic farm. We get to hug and pet the Alpacas, feed the chickens and meet the sheep. The home is cozy, clean and new. New and isolated modern house with large space and very clean interior. It is the most impressive type of bed and breakfast I have lived in.

"This place was clean and cozy! I was shocked that there weren't any electric blankets or small heaters in the room because I am afraid of the cold. HOWEVER, the main heater outside [heat pumped from the fireplace in the main house next door] and the fuzzy blankets absolutely kept me and my family so warm.

I love how the place is so clean and tidy!! The animals were definitely the highlight of the stay. The hosts were so kind, friendly, helpful, efficient and hard-working; really lovely folks. 100% RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

There is no kitchen. So buy or pack some food. Microwave, small refrigerator, plates and cutleries were provided so it wasn't a huge problem for us! The host packed fresh butter, croissant, milk and cereal during our stay.

This is really a perfect stay. Take the No. 1 Highway and turn right to the farm for 3 km. We arrived in the evening, so the google display has arrived, but due to darkness, we did not see the house number box. I too recommend that you must stay at dawn! "Our visit was overwhelmingly beautiful from start to finish! If you are looking for some relaxation away from the crowded tourist streams, like we did after a week's road trip through New Zealand, this is what you are looking for.

There are a few rules that may seem strict at first glance, but on closer inspection, they have explained and made sense to us on their own.

It's hard to pick out what was best, but we especially liked how clean the apartment was every day. But Mac & Marina have never entered the apartment without first asking us. In general, the hosts are two of the nicest and most hospitable people you can imagine. For example, it was a little cold on the first evening, since the apartment has no heating. But Mac & Marina immediately started the big wood stove, so it quickly became warm and comfortable.

In addition, the entire apartment is in excellent condition and so modern and high quality equipped that it does not strike you that you are actually on an active farm. You can tell that when you go to the animals with Mac, which he does with great joy and enthusiasm. We had great fun feeding the chickens with the children, milking goats and stroking alpacas (so soft!).

On the other hand, Mac & Marina have never been intrusive and have always left us room to maneuver when we're not chatting. But if you feel like having a little conversation, the two were always there and it was always interesting and fun to talk to them.

What we also found great, are the spectacular views of Mt. Cook, the South Pacific and the crystal clear starry sky, as you almost never find it in Europe. And if we wanted to see something different than the farm, Mac had some great tips for trips that we all enjoyed.

All in all, the stay was just right for us to relax and recharge our batteries with the family. And all at a great value for money. We have a full recommendation for travelers looking for deceleration."

"Excellent location 4 km from the main road. Road with asphalt pavement. A real modern New Zealand farm. New modern house, cozy and bright. Very kind and good farmers will greet you warmly. In the evening we helped the farmer to drive a small flock of sheep, then, his wife Marina, guided us for a tour of the garden plot.

A great impression was left of the process when Marina taught us how to milk a goat and we were able to get fresh goat's milk for ourselves. They also asked her about buying fresh chicken eggs, which she kindly agreed to, and also offered to prepare them for us on the road the next morning.

The evening was spent on the terrace with beautiful views of the fields and mountains. In the distance, there were views of the ocean. I highly recommend that all travelers stay in this fabulous place and enjoy the silence and beauty of the new Zealand having plunged into the usual farm life away from the big cities."

"New clean spacious relaxing farm-stay with lovely hosts

The farm stay was easy to reach from just a turn from the SH 1.

I could recall that the host, Mac, had welcomed me with a chainsaw. :-) He is an engineer who created this off-grid farm-stay. We had a good time in getting to know each other, and I was genuinely impressed on how he and his wife, Marina, started their life on this farm and the ingenuity on every aspect of living. They were both lovely couples.

We had a wee relaxing visit to their organic farm and allowed us to get close to the stocks such as sheeps, goats and free-range chooks. I was also invited to visit Mac's workshop and have the opportunity to know how things work in the aspect of off-grid living.

The room was comfy, and the bed was extremely comfortable with the Ecosa topper and mattress and the warmth of the electric blankets. We had a good night sleep and wanna sleep in. The breakie was a continental one well stocked with options of cereals, bread with jams, fruits, milk, tea and coffee in a self-catering style.

The scenery was gorgeous that both the Aoraki Mount Cook and the South Pacific Ocean could be viewed. We had also enjoyed the spectacular night sky too. It was undoubtedly one of the best stays in New Zealand with good value for money. I could have stayed longer. :-) Thank you, Mac and Marina. We are looking forward to revisiting you.

Actually I am more wordy, so I thoroughly enjoyed being on this Eco hobby farm.

The gorgeous aspect and views, and in the morning got to see a few of the animals, babies and interesting vegetables growing. The accommodation was fabulous, modern, with every possible thought and need including a light breakfast. The bed was very comfy and oh so peaceful.

What stood out for us was the fun farming experience - we got to milk goats and feed baby lambs! So much fun.

My parents were overwhelmed with the remote feeling with beautiful views of the mountains and sea.

We had our own private bathroom and toilet. My parents had the bedroom with views looking out to the sea and I unfolded the sofa bed in the lounge and my views were the mountains in the distance.

The hosts were lovely and made every effort to communicate with my parents who didn't speak English. They were very entertaining as they explained farm life and also we did not realise how eco-friendly worked so was interesting.

We plan to return there on our way back and drink more goats milk! Highly recommend."

This place was amazing! so clean, modern, private and i got to enjoy feeding lambs and milking goats. I particularly valued discussions with the hosts; he is a clever inventor type engineer and and she is works in the area of health and wellbeing. The highlight for me really was the discussions with the hosts, they are intelligent and interesting - beautiful secluded area
